50 RANdom THIngs aboUT Me

I just got tagged to do this so I thought ... The kids are asleep why not....

1. I hate when my food touches on my plate. I like things NOT touching. And I only eat one thing at a time... I get A LOT of GRIEF for that...
2. If I wasn't married to MR MEAT AND POTATOES I would only eat chicken, turkey, and fish. In fact that's all I ate until I got married.
3. The last speeding ticket I got was 6 years ago this summer. ( Jamie you were there Remeber:-)
4. I bite my nails. It's a genetic CURSE. My mom does it and now Avery does it.:-(
5. I have 4 brothers and NO sisters. I'm the middle child. And yes for the record I WAS SPOILED.
6. I loved cats as a child but now that I have kids I can't stand them...
7. I LOVE LOVE LOVE to can. That's probably the only domestic thing about me. Last fall I canned 250 jars of food: beans, spaghetti sauce, salsa, pears, peaches, apple pie filling, apple sauce, tomatoes.
8. If I didn't have a family I would eat-sleep-breathe volley ball.
9. My goal is to lose 30 pounds by July.
10. I love to RUN in the middle of the day when it's like 95 degrees outside.

13. I love thunder storms...
14 My favorite holiday is Christmas because it brings out the best in people.
15. My favorite season(s) are spring and fall... There's just a change in the air that makes me all excited.
16. I love to garden... there's nothing better then a tomato right out of the garden.
17. I used to be PAINFULLY shy.
18. I married the best guy in the world. All my life I dated guys that gave me whatever I wanted. I needed some one that could tell me "no". SO yes Jared you are PERFET for me.
19. My most prized posession is my children.
20. I blew out my knee riding a mechanical bull... and now have 2 metal screws in it.
21. I never read books because when I start I can't stop. I made the mistake of reading Twilight and read all 4 books in less then 2 weeks. While having a 3 year old 2 year old and new baby in my house.
22. I never match the socks they all just go in a hamper and everyone is on their own. Tucker is only three and he even finds his own matches.
23. If I could wear no make-up and a ponytail every day I would. But, I think that might be too traumatizing to poor innocent by-standers
24. After three kids I can still do the spilts...
25. The thought of turning 30 HORRIFIES ME!!!!!!!!!
26. I don't have any regrets in life. If I could do anythign over I wouldn't, because that would change who I am.

37. If I could go anywhere in the world I would go to Carthage, Navoo, and the Sacred Grove.
38. I have a chocolate lab named Riley, and if it weren't for Jared she would starve to death. I can't ever remember to feed her, good thing she's not one of my kids.

Bad Blogger

So I've been a little behind on my blogging. Life is always crazy... When we were doing some of our spring cleaning we found one of Jared's Grandpa England's old hats. Needless to say Tucker has a large head. Because as you can see his head is too big. But isn't he CUTE!!!
Tucker got bubbles for his birthday and he wants to blow them EVERY DAY!!! Thanks Aunt Makyla!!! They sure do keep him busy...
For my birthday Jared sent me the most BEAUTIFUL flowers. There was only one problem, I took half the day off at work so when I walked in the door with out flowers he told me to go back to work. I asked why and so he told me. Which kinda spoiled the surprise. But it's okay!!! They were great!!! Thanks Jared!!

At pre-school for the letter P Avery had a princess-pirate-pajama-party... Where she made this lovely crown I think she spent the next week dancing around in her tu-tu and her crown. She even had Tucker convinced he was a boy/prince/ballerina. Poor Tucker, he deffiniately needs a brother.

$10,000 Challenge

SO this past January our local radio station decided to have a weight loss challenge. With first prize being $6,000 2nd prize $3,000 and 3rd prize $1,000. So my friend and I decided "Why not..." Even if we don't win the money we are going to be healthier then we were so we still "win" I haven't been the most motivated lately. Between family/kids, work, young womens, and whatever else comes along it's easy to make excuses. So I thought that maybe if I did a blog update every week on my progress it would help me be accountable/responsible.... I started dieting in September and have lost 23lbs. so far. My ultimate goal is to lose 30lbs. by July which works out to like 3lbs. a week. So far I'l right on track. If you have any good work out tips/advice let me have it!!! Wish me luck!!!!

TIme Flies When You're Having Fun!!!!

So I was going through some of my old pictures and I can't seem to get over how fast kids grow.
This first picture is of Jordyn at the hospital. It's hard to believe she is now 8 months old, sitting up on her own, rolling over, and pushing herself backwards and in circles on the floor.
This is a picture of Avery holding Tucker after we brought him home from the hospital. She is now 4 1/2 and he just turned 3.

This is Jared's (not so little any more) brother, about 4 years ago he was nine when we got married. And now his in high school and just started driving. (stay off the raods!! Just kidding Wyatt:-)

Here's Avery in her high chair at about 12 months old. I can't believe thst she will be 5 in August. She went to pre-school this year. And knows all her letters, the sounds that they make, her colors, her numbers, and her shapes. We were goign to send her to kindergarten this fall but, have decided that we don't want her heading off to college at barely 18, so we are going to wait another year so that she can be the oldest in her class instead of the youngest.

If there is one thing I've learned being a parent it is to CHERISH EVERY MOMENT (good or bad) because before you know it they aren't babies anymore. Like two of my favorite country songs says... "you're gonna miss this, you're gonna want this back, you're gonna wish these days hadn't gone by so fast." "It won't be like this for long." So no matter how frustrated you are or how bad your day has been enjoy those little ones because you can't ever get this time back.

Turning 3....

Since Sunday was Tucker's 3rd birthday we decided to celebrate it with family on Saturday. So Saturday night we had everyone over for nacho's and cake and ice cream. As most of you know I always make the kid's birthday cakes. Tucker wanted a tractor for his cake. So I started Firday night and 7 cake mixes and several hours later he had his tractor cake. It was quite the hit.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY TUCK!!!!
Right after Tucker was done eating he asked me " Can I open presents now mom?"
Some of his gifts included a John Deer Tractor Sweatshirt, a race track with cars, a sleeping bag for future sleep overs, super cute clothes, and a bubble blowing toy and a gallon of bubbles. Which he asked to play with right away.

Tucker and Grandma England reading a b-day card.

HERE'S THE BIRTHDAY BOY!!!!!!

I took a few tries, a little bit of slobber, and some help to get the candles blown out. :-) What a great day!!! Thanks everyone for coming...
